The ICDP

The Illinois Consortium on Drug Policy brings together a diverse group of nonprofit organizations, academics, policy makers, elected officials, impacted individuals and concerned Illinois residents to develop alternatives to current drug policies.

The Consortium’s primary objectives are to promote alternatives to current drug policies and to serve as a forum for the open, honest, and thoughtful exchange of ideas. We aspire to serve both the general public and populations significantly affected by drug policies through careful analysis of current policies in the areas of housing, employment, education, health care, and economics.

The ICDP web site not only welcomes you to our organization, but is also an information repository for all individuals interested in state-level drug policy reform. Research findings, publications and reports, links to beneficial resources and original documents and updated listings of new events and campaigns from around the state all combine to create a comprehensive site that we hope can be used as an important tool to help guide analysis and discussion of current policies in Illinois.
